R20191004.1 - Release Notes - 7th October 2019

 What's New?

New Sunrise Look and Feel

We are excited to announce the launch of our new and improved Sunrise user interface.

We are constantly evolving the Sunrise product to create an intuitive working environment for our customers and partners. Over the next few releases we will be rolling out our user interface changes across Sunrise. Wave 1 of the roll out includes an update to various areas of Sunrise from the Login Screen to the Asset Libraries right through to the buttons and iconography.

New style Login Screen

We have retained a 2 step login process, but created new visuals for this page. You will still find all the same functionality on this page that we had previously such as ‘I don’t know my password’ and ‘Need help?’.

New style Dashboard

You will notice we have made some major designs changes to our dashboard widgets. The technology used to load the widgets has also been updated which allows the widgets to load faster.

The dashboard remains configurable by clicking the ‘Dashboard’ button and still utilises a drag and drop interface and libraries can still be pinned to your dashboard.

Navigation Bar

Our navigation bar on the left hand side of the screen has been updated:

When you hover over the navigation bar you will now see the panel expands to show you the system pages. These icons will mirror the widgets where applicable.

Please note you will only see the modules/pages relevant to you as a user.

User Information Menu

There is a new style user information menu that can be accessed by clicking your avatar (picture/icon). This is still located in the top right corner:

Track History

There is now a separate button for 'Track History' listing the last 10 pages you have visited, this button can be found next to your avatar:

New buttons and iconography

All pages in Sunrise now contain our new buttons, colour scheme and iconography to reflect our improved look and feel but you will find everything in the same place as before:

Asset Libraries

On the Asset Library page we have implemented a new tile design, which standardises the size of each of the library tiles and only shows you libraries for the organisation that you are in at the time. You can also now 'Create Library' from this page if you have the correct permissions.

If you have a library description saved, when you hover over the library tile you will see the description displayed as per the below screenshot:

From the tiles you can still use ‘Pin’ to create a library tile on your dashboard.

New Sunrise Functionality

As part of this release, we have also introduced some new functionality and enhanced our current feature set that both our clients and partners can benefit from.

Recording a reason for Bypassing an Approval

For organisations that have the ‘Bypass Approvals’ feature switched on, when you bypass an approval contact, you will now have the option to enter a reason for bypassing them:

mceclip14.png

After the contact has been bypassed you will be able to see the reason in the ‘Tasks’ tab of the Activity Summary page:

mceclip15.png

Additionally this is displayed in the ‘Approval History’ page, when you click the ‘i’ icon you will be able to see the reason for bypassing:

Enhancements to Information Popups

Users of Sunrise can be asked to complete some information as part of their asset or form approval tasks. These appear as ‘Information’ popups that overlay the asset or form. We have updated these forms so that the popup is larger so more information can be viewed without scrolling:

mceclip17.png

You can also now maximise the popup to take up the full width of the screen. Alternatively, you can pop out into its own window so that you can move this to a second screen to see it side by side with your asset or form:

mceclip18.png

If you close the ‘Information Popup’ you can re-access it by clicking on the red ‘i’ icon in the top right hand corner of your screen:

mceclip19.png

You can view the details that a user entered in this form retrospectively by clicking on the task name in the Tasks tab of the Activity Summary.

 Consult another user

You may already be aware that from a running approval you can ‘Consult another contact’ on that approval bringing them into the approval loop and allowing them to comment.

This can now be done by anyone who is accountable on the activity, even if they don’t have the approval to complete themselves. If you navigate to the ‘Tasks’ tab on the Activity Summary:

  mceclip0.png

Once the approval has started you will see the ‘…’ in the actions menu beside the task, from here you can select a another Sunrise user to consult:

 Asset Expiry Date Filter

When searching via Sunrise global search bar, when you are viewing ‘Assets’ you can filter your results by their expiry date. This allows you to see for example, what may be expiring in the next month or what has expired last month.

mceclip2.png

Picking a ‘Start Date’ will show you all assets that expired or are due to expire after this date. If you only pick an ‘End Date’, it will show you all assets that expire before that date. Picking 2 dates will showing you assets that expire within in that date range.

Cancel Activity Window

When a user cancels an activity in Sunrise, the window that pops up was previously defaulted to notify all associated contacts. This is now defaulted to un-ticked as user feedback indicated it is more likely you wouldn’t want to notify everyone and they would prefer to only tick the box when they do want a notification sent:

Paused Activity

You can now see who paused an activity and when they paused it from the Key Metrics tab. If they have entered a reason for the activity being paused it will also display here:

Bugs and Maintenance

In December, we will no longer be supporting the Internet Explorer browser. We have created a pop up which appears for anyone using an IE browser as soon as they navigate to the Sunrise login page. Until December they will be able to ignore this and login, beyond December they will no longer be able to dismiss the popup.
