What's New?
New 'Assets in a Library' page
Following our last release which included a new and improved look and feel we have now updated our asset library views.
When you navigate into an asset library you will notice there is a new design, as well as new buttons for ‘Upload’ (cloud icon) and a filter box consistent with the filtering on the Sunrise Tasks page. Please note you must press ‘Enter’ to filter the results:
Asset Libraries - Tile View
Within this page you now also have the option to switch between a list view (which is default) and a tile view of your assets. You can switch between the view by using the toggle buttons shown below:
When in the tile view you will see larger thumbnail view of the assets along with; the asset name, file type and a created or revised date of the asset. The revision and approval status are denoted on the top of the thumbnail itself:
Sorting in the Tile View
Like with the list view you can also sort within the tile view, by clicking on the attribute you wish to sort by from the drop down list under the filter box:
You can also then re-sort the order from ascending to descending and vice versa using the button to the right of the ‘Sort by’ drop down.
Downloading multiple assets from a library
We know that downloading assets en-masse can be time consuming so we have added the ability to download multiple assets in one go from our asset libraries. By either selecting the specific assets you want individually or clicking ‘Select all’ (note this will select all assets shown within the page not the entire library) you will then have a ‘Download’ button appear in the top right corner of your page:
Clicking the ‘Download’ button will start downloading these files to your computer, you should be able to see these at the bottom of your screen:
You may be asked to confirm that you allow multiple assets to be downloaded depending on the browser and settings you have.
Asset Library Thumbnails
It is now possible for domain administrators to change the thumbnail/cover image for Sunrise libraries. This can be done via the 'Edit Library' page:
Administrators are able to select the asset from your computer and upload this as the cover image for the library. You will see from the Assets tab the library now has the new image as its thumbnail:
Opening Briefs
We have now made it easier to access your briefs for a Sunrise activity. Just as you would access any of the forms completed via the ‘Tasks’ tab in your activity summary, you can now click on your brief name (which is a hyperlink) to take you into that brief:
This will take you into the brief detail, which is also accessible from the ‘Briefs’ tab.
Ultimately all forms completed as part of a Sunrise activity will be accessible from the ‘Tasks’ tab by clicking the task name to allow for a consistent and intuitive user experience.
Deleting reference files
There is now the ability to remove a reference file (ad-hoc) file you have uploaded via the ‘Assets’ tab on an activity. From the Asset Details page, using the context menu within ‘Upload Revision’ button you will now see a ‘Delete’ option:
This will remove visibility of reference file you have added to the activity to all users.
Expanding Assignments
In the Tasks tab of your activity summary we have introduced the ability to expand all assignments, this is done by clicking the chevron on the column header, as shown below:
Clicking this will list all of the assignments for all tasks rather than having to expand the individual tasks:
Asset Upload tasks
Look and feel
We have updated the look and feel of the 'Asset Upload' task:
Choose Assets pop-up
In the asset picker pop-up, the date shown under the asset name now shows the last revised date of the asset:
Asset Upload constraints
It is now possible for Sunrise domain administrators to constrain ‘Asset Upload’ tasks to say whether a user is able to upload a file from their computer, only choose from a Sunrise library or choose from either source. Additionally we can constrain the verdict types allowed for asset selection (I.e only allow assets with a verdict ‘Approved’) as well as defining a specific library they must pick from.
When configured correctly this will help to prevent incorrect assets being selected to be used as part of a Sunrise activities. As this will require configuration to workflows in Sunrise, this must be agreed and organised via your Sunrise Professional Services Manager.
Global Search results
It is now possible to see the 'Completed' date for activities that have been completed in the global search results page:
Maintenance
Following the warning in the last release note, we no longer support Internet Explorer as a browser. Users cannot access Sunrise using this browser, we recommend switching to Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.
Bug Fixes
As part of the release, we have also completed fixes for the following bugs detailed below:
- Activity is not kicked off when the name of the linked/child activity is longer than 110 characters.
- Error 500 seen when an activity is cancelled that contains an asset approved on a different activity.
- Completing a form in tabular view which contains a sequence doesn’t create a sequence.
- Cancelled and running colours showing incorrectly in the asset tab on the activity.
- ‘Ready to run’ activities do not appear on the task page when the first task is completed.
- Modal does not close when you re-name an asset in the asset libraries.
- Aborting approvals applied a digital signature to the approval history incorrectly.
