Which File Formats can be Rendered/Previewed in e-flow?

What is Asset/File Rendering?

Rendering in e-flow is the automatic process of generating an image from an uploaded file to produce a preview, visible on-screen. Also, the results of displaying such a preview can be called a render.

There are 2 rendering processes in e-flow:

  1. For displaying a thumbnail and a full-page preview.
  2. For display in the Online Approval Tool for the purposes of review and approval.

Thumbnail & Full Page Render

Assets (files) are rendered when first uploaded to produce a preview which is visible as a small thumbnail and as a larger preview, visible in the 'Preview' tab when the asset is opened.

Online Approval Tool

Any assets that are linked to an approval loop are rendered for viewing in the Online Approval Tool (i.e. ProofScope). The rendering process commences when the file is uploaded.

The rendering engine processes files using a queue system (i.e. 'first in first out'). In some scenarios, the user required to review and approve the asset may experience a slight delay while the asset is processed through the queue.
