Approver Tip: Comparing Asset Versions in the Online Approval Tool

Any asset that has been uploaded as a revision of a previous asset can be compared against any of its previous versions or any other assets from a library.

How to Begin a Compare Session

1. While reviewing an asset in the online approval tool, click the Summary drop down list and click Compare.

2. The next modal allows you to select a previous revision of the asset to compare with the asset currently under review. Select the previous revision you wish to see, then click 'Compare':

3. This will enable the comparison tools in the running approval session; each tool will be explained and illustrated in the section below.

The Comparison Tools

The A|B icon, or 'split view', toggles the ability to view artwork side-by-side. Please note that you must have A and B selected in order to see both assets.

This toggles the view of the asset currently under approval, or 'artwork A'.

The 'Delta' button shows the differences between the two artworks in red. This can be viewed on its own or beside either artwork if A and/or B are also selected.

The 'Flick' tool will automatically switch the main view between the two artworks, allowing you to view the differences without any overlay (such as with the Delta tool). This can also be viewed alongside A and/or B, as selected.
