Introduction
Responsible assignees while in the Online Approval Tool may request a consultation with any user(s) of their organisation or any linked organisation which shares their users publicly.
Consult Feature
Click the Summary button drop-down list and select Consult Contacts.
Pick the Contact(s) to be consulted and enter a message.
This message will then appear in the email notification as well as within the consult.
Consulted users when opening the consultation review session will see a message which will say 'You have new brief instructions':
Choose what should happen when the consultants have completed their review and then click OK.
Once selected, the consulted user will receive a task notification to provide consultation on the asset approval. The user may add annotations, attachments and threaded discussions to the artwork approval, but will not be requested to provide an approval verdict.
The approval step can continue while the consultation task is in progress. The responsible assignee may be notified by email when the consultation has been completed.
Super Consult Feature
Super Consult gives the ability to configure into a workflow template a 'super consult / No Verdict' user into an approval step.
Similar to consult a customer, the user will not be able to provide a verdict in the approval session however, unlike the consult feature the workflow will not progress until the user has reviewed and completed the approval task.
If all users in the step were marked as 'no verdict' in the workflow template, the overall task verdict will be marked as 'Reviewed'.
You can also add in super consult steps on demand too by adding a step into the approval step.
Click on the action button on the right of the page.
Click add step.
From here you select the contact you'd like to consult and under RACI select 'consulted' and check 'no verdict'
You can also select a number of things to configure the step.
